Lapyx 4
On February 25, 2026, Lapyx 4 took to the skies for its maiden flight and demonstrated exceptional aerodynamic performance, stability, and efficiency.
The aircraft performed successfully in both manual and autopilot modes, completed a 100 km/h speed test, and validated an estimated endurance of around 7 hours on battery power alone. Compared to Lapyx 3, the main improvements were in aerodynamic refinement, energy efficiency, autopilot capability and most importantly flight performance.
Although the flight ended in a crash due to a mechanical failure that caused total power loss, the test confirmed the strength of the overall design and delivered valuable insights for the next build. After this successful test flight the team is focusing on rapid rebuild of the aircraft, incorporating design improvements based on the lessons learned from the first flight to improve it and get even closer to our goal!
